Putting Montana First: Standing Up for Our Way of Life
Montana is more than a place — it’s a way of life built on hard work, independence, and respect for our land and one another.
I’m running for the U.S. Senate to make sure Montana’s voice is heard loud and clear — to protect our freedoms, defend our jobs, and preserve the outdoor heritage that defines us.
Every policy I support comes back to one simple idea: Montanans know best how to take care of Montana.
Below are my positions on the issues that matter most to our state.
Agriculture
Agriculture is the backbone of our economy. We will protect property rights, invest in rural infrastructure, and cut red tape so family farms can thrive. Beyond farming, landowners and farmers will have the freedom to responsibly develop energy on their land, including drilling and fracking, to fully maximize their property’s potential.
Education
Montana will be a state where parents have true freedom in choosing their children’s education—whether through homeschooling, private institutions, or other options that best fit their family’s values. We will keep liberal ideological agendas out of the classroom and place our trust in the people of this great state to make the best choices for their children.
Energy
For over 170 years, our society has relied on petroleum-based products—and Montana holds an abundance of it. Nearly everything we use is made from, or transported with, petroleum. I am committed to responsibly developing Montana’s natural resources. When fracking or drilling benefits landowners and local communities, we’ll pursue it to grow Montana’s economy and create thousands of jobs. By harnessing our rich energy potential, we can build a prosperous and sustainable future for all Montanans.
Health Care
My counterpart, Steve Daines, fully supports repealing Obamacare, as do I — this is common sense. Every American deserves the right to obtain healthcare. We will protect rural hospitals and clinics from overbearing regulation, expand rural and telehealth options, and support flexibility for states and local solutions, not Washington mandates.
Immigration
As your Senator, I will make sure Montanans get first priority for every job and economic opportunity. Those who are not lawfully present in this state will not take jobs intended for legal residents. Under my watch, we will ensure that jobs go to those who are in this country legally and eligible to work.
Indian Affairs
I believe we should respect tribal sovereignty and promote self-determination.
Job Creation & the Economy
I’ll make sure Montana jobs go to Montana workers—because our people deserve the chance to build their own American Dream. Tax cuts don’t mean much when the cost of living keeps climbing. I’ll ensure that every opportunity benefits our people, not politicians who have allowed the cost of living to keep rising for the last decade.
Limited Government & Fiscal Responsibility
The government should serve the people of Montana — not the other way around. We must strengthen our state’s self-reliance and reduce dependence on the federal government. I’ll work to cut waste in federal spending, and demand transparency and accountability for every tax dollar. I’ll fight for a smaller, more efficient government that works for the people — not against them — and always puts Montana’s interests first.
Montana Seniors
Our seniors deserve dignity, security, and peace of mind—not government red tape. I’ll protect Social Security and Medicare for those who've paid into them while keeping these programs solvent and accountable for future generations. We’ll expand rural healthcare and long-term care by empowering local providers and cutting federal bureaucracy that drives up costs.
National Security
A secure nation starts with a strong Montana. I will support our state’s military bases and defense workforce, strengthen missile defense and cybersecurity, and ensure our armed forces are ready to protect Montanans and all Americans. My priority is keeping our citizens safe and our state prepared for any challenge.
Pro-Life
Life is sacred, and I am committed to defending it. I support policies that empower women and families, including adoption and other life-affirming options. I oppose taxpayer-funded abortion and will work to expand maternal care and family support services, ensuring every Montanan has the resources to protect and nurture life.
Public Lands and Forest Management
Montana’s public lands are central to our way of life. I will expand access and ensure responsible forest management while protecting private property rights. My plan is to invest in our own helicopters to stop wildfires before they threaten a single citizen, rather than rely on private contractors, safeguarding our communities and the lives of every Montanan.
Rural Broadband
Connectivity is essential for rural Montana. I will expand high-speed broadband to underserved areas, streamline programs to fit our state’s unique geography, and encourage private investment and partnerships to ensure rural communities are not left behind in the digital economy.
Second Amendment
I will protect the Second Amendment for law-abiding Montanans. I oppose federal attempts to restrict our rights, support responsible firearm ownership, enforce existing laws, and will ensure Congress safeguards the Constitutional rights of those who safely use guns.
U.S. Postal Service
Montana needs a reliable mail service to stay connected. I will defend rural delivery, oppose cuts that hurt small towns, modernize USPS operations and infrastructure while preserving access for all, and ensure postal services remain affordable and dependable for every Montanan.
Veterans
Montana’s strong tradition of military service will drive my work in Congress to ensure veterans receive the care and benefits they have earned. I am committed to holding the VA accountable, expanding healthcare services, and supporting programs that create career opportunities and provide comprehensive support for all veterans.
Bottom Line
I will always put Montana first — standing up for our values, our people, and our land. Together, we can protect what makes Montana strong and build a future we’re proud to pass on.
